About Me
I was born and raised in Moline, Illinois. Throughout my life my family frequently traveled. Whenever we traveled I would photograph anything that caught my eye – not only to keep for myself, but also so I could later share what I captured with family and friends.
Although I’ve taken photos since I was young, I never considered photography as a career until later on in life. As for sports, soccer always seemed to be on at home whenever it could be. I played softball and ran track when I was younger. In my teens I played basketball on the side and I started watching more boxing and football. One night while I was watching a boxing match it suddenly hit me that I wanted to be a sports photographer. To photograph people doing something they love while I was doing something that I loved was (and still is) a great feeling to me. With this blog I want to share sports photos I’ve taken and ones others have taken that I appreciate.
I have an AA in Management Development that I received from Kirkwood Community College in May 2008. I also have a BA in Visual Journalism that I received from Brooks Institute in April 2011.
